Dear Visitor,
Thank you so much for your interest in our fellowship!
Who are we? What are we about?
Providence United Reformed Fellowship is all about getting back
to basics. Acts 2.42 serves as our guiding principle as we grow
as a fellowship: “And they devoted themselves to the apostles
teaching and fellowship, the breaking of bread and the prayers.”
We seek to devote ourselves to good, solid, biblical teaching as
given to us in the Bible. We desire to focus on fellowship. Fellowship
is all about care and support. Just as Jesus Christ gave of himself
for his people, we desire to give of ourselves to one another. We
also focus on the breaking of bread. This is all about the sacraments.
God communicates to us his grace and promises in the celebration
of the sacraments. They are signs and seals of the promises of the
Gospel. We also dedicate ourselves to prayer and worship. Balanced
worship that is reverent yet joyful, robust yet meaningful, conservative
yet relevant, traditional yet celebrational is a priority for us.
Providence United Reformed Fellowship is also all about being Reformed.
We adhere to the Three Forms of Unity: The Heidelberg Catechism,
the Belgic Confession, and the Canons of Dort. We rally around the
battle cries of the Reformation of the 16th Century: Christ
alone, faith alone, grace alone, scripture alone, and the
glory of God alone. What do all of these mean? Come and
visit us, and we would be thrilled to tell you!
You are welcome here!
May God richly bless you!
